The relationship between Schwab and Johnnie’s didn’t start in 1971 when the first Johnnie’s Charcoal Broiler opened. No. Johnny Haynes, founder of Johnnie’s, started getting Schwab franks and chill back in 1952 when he was the manager of the Split-T Restaurant in Oklahoma City.
