PORK! THE HERALD
This Christmas we are having a ham-stravaganza with Schwab’s Hickory Smoked Hams. Tis the season for good food, so our hams are perfectly seasoned, fully smoked and ready to eat. All you have to do is heat it up.
Our ham philosophy is the more the merrier so we offer two cuts, bone-in and spiral-cut. Christmas comes but once a year so treat your family to a great meal all while saving time you would usually spend cooking. Sit back and relax because this year, Santa Schwab is coming to town.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MYRRH.
CHECK OUT OUR CHRISTMAS HAM RECIPE.
Sweet Bourbon - Mustard Glaze Sauce Recipe
- 1 Cup honey
- 1/2 Cups molasses
- 1/2 Cups bourbon
- 1/4 Cups orange juice
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
Combine honey and molasses in a saucepan, bring to a boil. Turn heat down to a simmer and stir in the bourbon, orange juice and mustard.
Heating Our Bone-In and Spiral-Cut Hams:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Remove protective plastic and place ham in a shallow pan, cover tightly with foil. Turn oven down to 325 degrees and place pan in oven. Heat whole ham for 2-2.5 hours and heat half hams for 1-1.5 hours.
If desired, baste ham every 15 minutes for the last 30 minutes of cooking. Remove from oven and let stand for 30 minutes before slicing.
Baste ham occasionally with the honey-bourbon mixture. When the ham is finished, transfer drippings to a saucepan and add remaining honey mixture, bring to a boil. Serve ham with glaze.
