Created in Coney Island by a hot dog stand owner who claimed he had the best hot dogs, the chili dog is a tried and true American favorite. The debate still goes on about the best type of chili, but chili is one of the best agreed upon toppings for the hot dog.   For an easy to make meal that is delicious, see our recipe to have chili dogs for your meal tonight!


1 Package of Schawb’s Old School Franks
1 Package of Schawb’s Brick Chili
1 Cup Diced Onion
1 Cup Shredded Cheese
3 Jalapeño Peppers, Chopped (optional)

Chili Dog Cooking Instructions

In a small pot, cook chili as per package instructions
Cook hot dogs (We prefer BBQ but cooking on the stove or microwave will also work)
When hot dogs are nearly done, toast the buns (optional)
Placed cooked hotdogs into toasted buns
Add chili, cheese, onion, and jalapeños as desired (serves 4-5)
