This Chicago style hot dog is great for a hardy meal.  Another favorite amongst us at Schwab.  This recipe is a great combination of vegetables, spice, and of course hot dogs.  These hot dogs are best enjoyed under the sun with friends.


1 Package of Schwab’s Old School Franks
2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil (or Avocado Oil)
½ Green Bell Pepper, Sliced
½ Red Bell Pepper, Sliced
½ White Onion, Sliced
2 Tablespoons Chopped Garlic
1 Package of Hoagie Rolls
1/8 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1/8 Teaspoon Fennel Seed

Sausage & Pepper Hot Dog Cooking Instructions

Quarter the hot dogs lengthwise
In saucepan, heat Olive Oil
When Olive Oil is hot, add peppers, onions, garlic and spices
Sauté vegetables on medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently
Add quartered hotdogs and stir frequently
Heat hoagie rolls in microwave for about 45 seconds (optional)
When hot dogs are cooked, add hot dogs and vegetables to hoagie roll
